    2007 Stock CD Player Issue

In my 07 STi yesterday on my trip home near the end of the two hour trip I smelled something burning and I touched the front on my stock cd player and it was very warm so I took all of my cd's out and they were also hot and I turned the cd player off.

Has anyone heard of this happening or do they know the cause of it? I will have the dealer check it out next month when I take my car in for an oil change and I will not use the cd player until this issue is resolved.

Hopefully if there is something wrong this will be fixed under warranty.

Hmm well I have an 06 WRX and I didn't smell anything burning but my cd player would get hot and the cd's would stop playing if i was using it for any longer then about 40 minutes...I think subaru made the wrx/sti and then realized they forgot to put in a cd player/sound system and just threw something in real quick...worst sound system ever...my ford focus came with a better cd player...lol...well thats just from my experience...I don't know how the new ones are!! I just bought an aftermarket cd player...so much better!!
