    Painting The Silver Dash

So i just recently took out all the silver parts of my dash and painted them all flat black. I highly recommend doing this, it makes the cars interior match better, and gives it more of a mean look. Its one of the best interior mods i have done yet, i am going to do a write up with pictures soon because i need to repaint and clear coat. Will have pics up shortly!

There are about a dozen How-to threads on NASIOC. You just have to know where to look.

    What you need:
    -1000 grit sand paper
-flat black all purpose spray paint
    -matte finish clear coat

Make sure you clear coat it or it will scratch and absorb grease from your fingers

    THAT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD!!!

I THINKING OF DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT. TO ME, MAYBE THE FLAT BLACK IS TOO DULL. SO, IM GOING TO DO EXPERIEMENT TO SEE HOW IT COMES OUT IN A DIFFERENT COLOR. ILL POST PIC AFTERWARDS.

NOW, WHEN I SAID I WAS GOING TO EXPERIMENT, I DIDN'T MEAN TO ACTUALLY DO IT RIGHT AWAY. YEAH, I WOULD. BUT I DONT THE TOOLS TO DO SO, FOR THE MEAN TIME.

BUT I DID PHOTO EDITING WITH ONE OF YOUR PICS.
HOPE IT CAME OUT ALRIGHT. I DIDNT SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON IT FOR EDITING.

The flat black almost matches the interior perfectly. It is a bit dull, but i like the look of it being flat rather than glossy and shiny. The blue would look sick if you had the blue suede interior.

Remember to "CLEAR COAT" your final product or "IT WILL" scratch! Been there done that.

That looks like its a perfect color match. I used krylon ultra flat black with krylon matte finish clear coat.

I am going to respray it with just a semi flat hoping it will match my interior better.
