Removing Shift Knob A/T

Hey guys,

Does anybody know how to remove the shift knob off of a tiptronic 2008 WRX?

I removed the chrome cap from the bottom. Now I see a white plastic piece. I'm not sure how to remove the knob now. I was expecing some sort of pin or screw to be holding it in place. I tried to unscrew the knob but that doesn't seem to work. I don't want to exert too much force in fear or damaging something.

Somebody told me there should be 2 screws holding it in place but I don't see anything.

Any ideas?
