Well i wanted to get your thoughts on Getting my roof Wraped in black with a hint of a carbon fiber look to it. There is a company down the street that does car wraps. I have a sonic yellow with 20% tint and rota tarmac 2 in gunmetal. (kinda look black. Picture is in my sig. They gave me a price of $200 which i thought was a great price. Comments complaints. PLEASE THANKS

Is that the only thing you plan for the cf/black look?

I am just not a big fan of the CF trunk and hood. Everyone ive seen there is fitment issues. So yes that would be it. The color looks more black then CF.

I think it would look pretty good. Especially if you have the extra money, sounds like a good deal.

If its actual vinyl top my answer is hell no dont do it.

If its a vinyl sticker I wouldn't do it, but at least its not harming anything.

I think its a vinyl wrap, similar to that BMW weasel posted a while back.

Yes its a vinyl wrap they actually said it will protect the paint and it will leave no residue. I think for 200 bucks i might just try it. If i don't like it i could always take it off. It's done on a computer.

Yeah I figured it was a sticker. Only problem with wrapping just one body panel is that the paint on the rest of the car is gonna fade at a different rate. Also fake simulated carbon fiber looks like poo IMHO.

I've never seen simulated carbon fiber (wrap), so I can't comment on that, but +1 on the uneven paint fade. I guess you can probably polish it out if it's not too bad, but that seems like a lot of extra work.

No you can't polish out the paint fade. Once the color fades theres nothing you can do shy of repainting it. You'll just have 2 different shades of shiny paint, and yellows, reds and silvers are the worst for paint fade.
