Head unit with flip TV in 2004 WRX dash question

Hello. Did anyone installed head unit with flip screen in WRX'04 center dash?

I want to install something like this one

You can see that TV have some angle when opened.

    But panel looks like:

Mounting places are in some scoop and I just afraid that it wouldnt be positioned correctly (when opened) if I will install it on top mounting hole.

Or it's better to think about double-sized device?

    Thanks in advance.

Why not just mount it in the stock location? Get a DIN pocket if you want to cover the hole.

I'm talking about stock location. 2nd photo is not actually my car (my clock unit is not removed) - just example of how 04 WRX dash looks like.

Oh I see, so you're just trying to figure out if it will fit without the screen contacting anything when it's open.

    Sorry, can't help then.

Yes, exactly. Found couple of photos on google and they doesnt look optimistic for me. Opened flip screen contacting top part of dash and do not let to open it completely.
Looks like it's better to go with 2DIN solution.

Where did you get that dash clock cover? I was thinking about making an extra pocket there for stuff.
