    Different WRX seats?

For the WRX, I've seen two different seat styles: the one that looks like a regular bucket seat, and one with the headrest. What's with the two different ones... I'd like to get one with a regular bucket seat if possible.

And rally pig on the car... yes or no?

Cars that had more options or features got better seats. The TR for example was base model, with not many options, including a basic seat with headrest.

I dont the pigs, some do. Its your car, if you like em, get em.

So which models had the one-piece bucket seat? For example, the one in this WRX:

Where it's still cloth but one-seat.

the 02/03's had buckets w/ headrests, the 04+ WRX's have the one piece- same seats as the STi just a different cover

the 02/03's while two piece, had better bolstering than the 04+'s

TR's might have have the headrests too????

the jdm seats tend have more bolstering and be a little narrower

That's odd... I've been on cars.com and looking at the 04+ WRXs... some of them have the ones with the head-rest while the other have the STi-seat.

it could be the TR or perhaps your looking at RS's?

the "regular" 04+ WRX should all have the one piece seats

those are all TR's- you can tell w/ the flat black mirrors- "regular" WRX's have body paint mirrors

    TR's are a little less $ too

Oh I see. I have just received valuable wisdom. Performance-wise, are they any different from the regular WRXes?

And I kinda like the flat-black mirrors too... but I don't like the seats.

I definitely want a '06-'07 Rex though, white or blue? And does the STi-stock shift knob fit on the WRX? I like the STi knob much better than the WRX one. If not, what is similar?

possibly better performance as they are slightly lighter (less options)- otherwise identical

completely different shift knob- won't fit, there are lots and lots of shift knob options for the WRX- I'd be very surprised if you can't find one to your liking

    I've always liked this one

Ooh it's nice. I like the round shift-knob that has the slightly raised look... like on the stock STis. I don't like how most WRXs I've seen have that short stubby knob look.

And why are there so many TRs compared to regular ones on sale?? Do people just not like the TRs?

Bah, almost every rex on cars.com for '06-'07 is a TR. Does anyone know the actual differences between TR and regular?

And does anyone know how different the seats are for each one (comfort-wise)?

    Well....

The JDM and UK Spec WRX's from 02 onwards came with the 1 piece racing type seats (attached)..similar to that in the STi. These seats have a little more side bolstering than that which was found in the 04 STi IMHO.

US WRX's came with the two piece side bolstered seats, as found in the international spec 2.0 GX Impreza.

Additionally, I think the WRX 300 (JDM) along with some of the WR Limited 04 STis (Spec or not? Not sure) came with these seats....

I'm pretty sure that the only major difference between the WRX TR and limited models for 06-07 is interior trim level. For those model years, they had the WRX in two different trim levels, as stated above. The engine and running gear was completely the same, but the limited had fog lights and a slightly better interior with the seats from the 04-05 model year and a few other things. As far as I know, they made a lot more of the TR models and the limited models were much harder to find. On top of that, the Limited was more expensive for what many saw as being trivial things, so you see a lot more of them for that reason too. But as far as the actual mechanical stuff, the TR and Limited both had the same suspension, engine, tranny and all that stuff (that being a 5 speed with 2.5L turbo engine).
