Help me pick. AVN 5500 or AVIC D3

Alright. I have the option to get either an Eclipse AVN 5500 or a Pioneer AVIC D3 for about the same price. I cant decide which one to pick. I can also put a bit more money into it and get the D3X.

What do you guys think? Is the D3 better than the AVN5500?

Thanks for your help in advance

they're both really nice receivers as far as I can tell. I've played with the avic at best buy a good bit, and liked it. I haven't gotten to use the Eclipse, but I know they're a quality brand and I've gotten to use older eclipse hu's and liked them alot.

I personally would go with the Eclipse though, IMHO, they're a little nicer than pioneer products

I love my D3 easy to use and sounds great with lots of settings to change.

sweet the d3 is a good choice...just be careful when you clean it...mine acts up sometimes if it was touched a lot while its not on...its weird

also, hit up the gauges on it sometime...the g force gauge is fun
