    does anyone have experience mounting these in the front door of a wrx? I dont want too many surprises and if anyone experienced the joy of fitting a big thing in a shallow hole, please share.

    I have Focal coax in my car. It came with it when I purchased it. From what it looks you definately need spacers.

    Yep, i've got a pair of focal's too. You'll need spacers and might have to drill 1 hole for the component depending on which kind you got.
