    shift knob

    howdy,
new to the site...just got my blue '02 wrx a couple of months ago, and overall very happy w/ it.

it had the titanium sti shift knob, and preferring the feel of leather and given the freezing cold in maine, i bought a leather stock knob from ebay.

i couldn't get the white plastic adaptor out of the shift boot, and it fell through. i'm not sure what's down there...should i be worried that it might get stuck somewhere and do any damage?

also, i'm looking for something to do with the sti knob. it's in great shape, and i would happily send it to a good home for whatever you want to pay. unless you can tell me how to rescue the white plastic adaptor, it wouldn't include that piece.

    thanks,
    rob

thanks. i actually got it off pretty easily just by sticking a nail file in there to lift off the console. didn't even have to unscrew anything.

now to figure out how to replace my cigarette lighter socket...
