boost guage ?

i recently picked up an 04 wrx, but it didnt come with the stock boost guage. and i was looking to get some guages for it. i found some one selling a pillar with 3 autmeter guages. but the only thing is he said that the pin popped off the boost guage and that it was common with the autometer guages. is that a real common thing and is it an easy fix?

how much are you paying for this? when it comes to gauges i really wouldnt get defective ones


you can get a nice pod for about 45 bucks and pic up some greddy or defi gauges off of ebay or something

this guy wants 50 for the whole set. do you know if it is common for this to happen, that the needle pops off?

i dont think so. it shouldnt be common for anything to break for any car part or accessory haha

thats what i was thinking. haha. i dont understand how it could be common for the needle to fall off the gauge. unless he was messing with the gauge itself.

since it IS kind of cheap, maybe you should buy it and then just replace the gauge thats defective.

he was telling me he was selling it cheap just because of the needle. and then i asked if he would be able to fix it and he said he would but it would cost a little more and then told me he fixed it. but i dont know, i was kind of thinking the same thing to buy them and either sell the ones that were good and get a new set or just replace the defective one. cuz thats what i was thinking, each autometer gauge i have seen brand new were like 60 bucks. so i dont really know why he would be selling the whole set for 50.

Sounds to good to be true, Ive never heard of this being common either.

thats why i put the ? up here. it sounded to good to be true. after seeing them in the store for 60 a piece and then seeing him sell them for 50 for the set i was kind of skeptical about it. i found the listing on craigslist. but i dont really think i am going to go for it, it just seems to good to be true.

speaking of gauge pods, what center console cluster is the best quality for an inexpensive pod, and what boost gauge form defi do you all recommend? are there digital backlit ones from defi?
