Are you asking if soldering is hard?

There's a few guys out there that you can send those things to and they'll change the color and do a nice job.
there are also threads on how to do it yourself...not too hard just need a dedicated day for it.

google hvac color change or something like that.
there's a few good ones on nasioc and the contacts for the people who can do it.

you can get red bulb condoms.
that's what us WRX folks use to make our cluster lights red.

I read a thread, either or scoobymods or nasioc that gave a walkthrough on how to change the radio lights. basically you take the faceplate off and find the bulbs and put condoms on em. kinda complex but definately do-able.

There's some guys on Nasioc that you can send your radio/HVAC to and a few days later they'll send it back with the new light color. they do a good job to
