I keep the plastic clip attached to the sun visor & put the phone in there while i'm driving. If anyone calls, I just flip it open. Hands free speaker phone FTW!

door handle works fine for me. putting it right under the headunit makes a noise through the speakers as the phone "talks" to the towers/ receives phone calls (have at&t). don't know about putting it in the shift boot tho, greater chance of it interfering with a shift/reverse. one of the cup holders is fine, just don't put it in the holder that has had a drink in it recently as there could be a small puddle of water from condensaton in there.

I just throw mine anywhere in the car and turn on the bluetooth. dc law is minimum $100 fine. I already had a $200 one for talking on two at the same time... one sprint and 2-waying nextel... stupid, I know, but I was directing people who were lost...

That's been my usual routine also. Occasionally I'll just clip it to the visor of my hat so i don't feel like I'm screaming in the car. Lately it's just been easier to have them talk to voicemail and return the call when I get where I'm goin.
