5 1/4 components-not to bright

I've been researching 5 1/4" speakers for the rear doors of my 03. In alot of stuff I've read guys talk about the ones they got as the tweeters being way to bright. I already have Alpine type R's in my front doors and they are plenty bright. Anyone have experience with ones that provide good midrange?

You might be better off just getting woofers without the tweeters. And as long as you have a good head unit, you can adjust the treble. The rear speakers are in a VERY poor place to make any significant difference in sound quality unless you mount separate components in the rear part of the cabin.

You could get 5 1/4s that have the swivel mounting tweeters on the cone. I know some of the best speakers I've had are the Infiniti Kappa Perfects. I didn't think those tweeters were too sharp at all, just clear and good sounding...

I have heard good things about the perfects. I am just looking for the rear door speakers to fill in with more sound since I have the Alpine type R components in the front doors. (stock head, line out converter, Alpine 4 channel amp). After I pick out some speakers for the back doors I will start in on a good sub.

Anyone else want to chime in? Either about the Perfects or some others you have had and liked?
