Fuses are limited by current, so there's probably too many things connected to that fuse drawing too much current.

How did you do the wiring for the cluster? If you're connected to the same lines as your stereo you might just be drawing too much current through that fuse (stereos draw a lot of power as it is), so try rewiring things to spread it out a bit more.

Also, make sure there's no faulty ground connections.

Does the fuse blow only if you turn the stereo on or as soon as you turn the car on, even if the stereo's off?

Get a multimeter or an amp clip and measure the current going through the fuse. You could always just get a fuse with a higher current rating, but be careful that you're not actually drawing too much current for the instruments. The fuse is there to protect whatever is after it, so you don't wanna get a bigger fuse and end up destroying your electronics.

    07 STI cluster update

I checked the cluster and i noticed that my light dimmer does not work. also the fuse burns out as soon as i put a new one in. I also tried putting a much higher fuse but still burns it. If any of you guys have had this problem please give me some advise.

You're drawing a ridiculous amount of current for some reason. You should get a meter and measure exactly how much you're drawing. But there's no reason you should be drawing such a large amount. And the fact that your dimmer's not working probably means you messed up some wiring.

I'd recommend rewiring it. Do you have much experience with electronics, circuits, etc...?

    sti cluster update

It's finally working, I did some research on scoobymods and found the wire that keeps on burning the fuse. It's B28 so all that i did was cut it. According to the posting this wire has nothing to do with the WRX.

Thank you all for all your feedback. I love this forum.
