    Harness w/o Harness bar

    Someone told me that i could put in a 4 pt harness without a bar. is this true or am i about to get screwed into buying something that doesnt work?
    282 AWHP...267 lb-ft torque.

    i believe you can use the rear seatbelts to attach it.

    Do not listen to another thing this person says about a safety harness. He or she is either repeating false information or is talking about a subject he knows nothing about. Some manufactures recommend a harness bar and some say the rear lap belt chassis points will work so it depends on you as the installer to do it right. But, by all means DO NOT bolt all 4 points of the harness to the seat mounting points. This is very unsafe and in an accident with any moderate impact could lead to serious injuries or death to you and any front seat occupant of your car.

    don't mount the belts to the seat bolts, in the unlikely event of a head on colision you are likely to have enough force to pull the bolt straight out and send you through the window still strapped into your seat, like an fighter jet ejection seat. at the least you would run the risk of damaging your spine form the extreme belt angle, trust me it hurts. check out these instructions in the link. i used the rear shoulder and lap belt mounting bolts in the crease of the rear seat to bolt my harnesses before i got a harness bar.
