Here's my problem:
All my gauges are autometer sport comp 2 5/8 and I wanted to get a gauge that reads the temp of the intercooler.
Here's my idea:
Since autometer only has oil and water temp gauges....I was thinking of getting a electrical water temp gauge and mounting the sensor inbetween the metal ripples in the intercooler...idea being that heat coming off the intercooler will be detected by that gauge.
What I'm fuzzy on:
Would the inside of the intercooler be much warmer then the heat comming of it?
Could the water temp gauge actually do this?
Biggest Question:
Is this even worth trying? Is the intercooler temp even that important?
Thanks for any input.
