I was thinking about installing a carbon fiber heated seat pad in the front seats, but I have no idea how I would get the fabric off the seats (without destroying them).
Does anyone know how to unupholster the front seats (2005 WRX) or where I could take them to have it professionally done? Would a furnature upholstery shop be able to do this?
I would get in touch with http://www.leatherseats.com/ or http://www.atd1.com/ . They both do leather interiors for cars so they would probably have some sort of instructions for getting the seat fabric off. If not, they could probably recommend some people in your area that might know.
BTW - do you have alink to the seat heaters you're gonna use. I've been looking for some...
Both say they can be used on seats with sideairbags. Both basically say that there needs to be clearance so that this thing isn't on the side airbag area (ie it should be on the seat back and not on the side bolsters)
