Winter rubber floor mats?

Well after buying my wrx and seeing how nice the OE non script wrx floor mats are i decided I wanted some nice rubber mats for winter. Does anyone recommend anything in general? I've looked at the ones offered by SOA and they didnt impress me. I didnt see a "lip" around the edge to keep all the melted snow on the mat. I havent seen these in person so maybe someone can help. I'm basically looking for a black color mat that fits 06 wrx that has a lip around the edge so water wont slide off and onto the floor. If I cant find any I'll be force to get a set up walmart specails (i know they have the lip) and live with it......please help.

I have the Subaru mats and they work pretty well to keep slush and water confined to the mat. There is no higher lip around the outside, but all of the grooves are the same depth and there are no "drains" off of the mat.

I do wish that the mats were the exact same shape as the carpet mats that came with the car. The rubber mats are slightly different in shape, but not enough to make a huge difference. I leave mine in year-round.

I've used Husky Liners in every vehicle that I've owned and they're worth every penny. Custom fit to cover every millimeter of the floor and they act like a huge tray to trap all the snow, slush, mud and water. Just use an old towel to absorb large quantities of water that accumulate after a while so it doesn't spill ouot around turns and stuff. Heres a link:

i also have the subaru winter mats. i'm not too sure what you mean about it not having a lip to prevent water from coming off it, cuz all the water stays on the mat... there's no way for it to drain out. like darrell says, i wish it was the same shape as the carpet mats since its a little bit smaller, but it still does a decent job.

I had the WalMart rubber mats at $7.99 each. Then I thought I would go more "higher class" with the Subaru winter mats for $40/set. If I could do it again, I would not bother switching.

The Subaru ones were harder rubber, almost hard plastic like. They're also not as pliable as the Walmart ones. And the Subaru ones are smaller too, covering less area. Both hold water and slush pretty well though.

I think if you really need one shaped for the car, go order the WeatherTech ones. Otherwise the Walmart ones did a great job!

I have the Huskyliners in mine as well. I highly recommednd them as well.

I saw a set of husky liners and to be honest I wasnt really impressed. It appears they cover the whole floor pan (while it makes sense) isnt really what I want. I still want to be able to see my carpet. I also didnt like the hard plastic like material it was made out of. I think I am going to go with the subaru set as I went to wal mart and they didnt really impress me....most of the "winter" ones seemed to large oh well....we will see...thanks for the help.

The Subaru mats work well. I think you'll be happy with them. I like mine. It's that time of year here in MI I am putting mine in today.

i just wash my regular WRX mats in the spring and after 3 seasons they're not too bad. If i need new ones i'll just buy new ones.

The subaru mats do the trick. I doubt your gonna have a river over water in them where it goes over the lip.
