    Installing Shift Knob and Boot

    Hey all

I just have a quick question regarding how to *safely* get the center console apart so i can install my old MOMO shift knob and MOMO boot in my WRX.

Pic of it installed in my old car (easy):

I cannot for the love of me figure out how to get that console apart, and i'm afraid to just yank on it for fear of breaking a clip or something somewhere. I have the damn brushed aluminum look as well, so i'm sure i'll be covering it with rags so as not to scratch it.

Any info on how to get the thing apart would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Yep, you just have to pull on it. See here: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5537

    Wife's: '05 SRR 2.5RS 5MT Sport Wagon

The Knack. It's a rare condition characterized by an extreme intuition about all things mechanical and electrical ... and utter social ineptitude.
