    Cheap Interior mod

    modded the interior this morning.



    i added another coat to the cupholder so everything matches now

    also took apart the face plate to paint it black as well:



    before:


    total spent $4.50

    You did a good job on it, but it kind of makes the interior look plainer and cheaper. Just my .02

    never really liked the silver trim. the paint looks glossy in the photo's, but in person it's a low gloss black.

    teh S203's trim is black, this is where SiFuSpEc got the idea.

    Im going to be doing this pretty soon (maybe tomorrow), but Im also painting all the pillars and pretty much all the light-gray plastic. Should look pretty cool, I'll post the results when I do it.
    My poor tranny!... someone sell me an aspen white 06 sti.

    Looks really nice!

    Just wondering too, do you have a link or walkthrough on removing dashboard crap? I have rattles in all of my vents and my tweeter grills.. Not the VIN plate one though, I fixed that.
    luxury is 1.00 BAR+ of boost and the inability for your passenger to touch the dashboard

    the trim around the radio just pulls out.
    cupholder has 2 screws that you can see when the cup holder is extended.
    vents above the cup holder pull out
    gently pry the sides of the side vents to get those out.

    the tweeter grills are a part of the door panel

    Ok tell me exactly how you did this, NOW! jk. No but seriously did you use automotive paint or just spray paint. I wanna do this but I'm afriad it will look painted. That looks so nice i hate the damn color of the trim.

    go to an auto parts store.
    go to the paint section.
    look for "bumper paint"

    I have access to a professional spray gun. Would you say it would be better do just spray it from the can? How does it come out finish wise? (got any close up pictures?) Think i should try automotive paint?
