hey i was just wondering how come in my 05 wrx when i close the sun roof it stops just before half way shut, then u have to release the button and push it again to finish closing the sun roof

that's the way they designed it

No, it's just because some people like it halfway open

I think it might have something to do with the little flap that flips up on top when its all the way open. When its sliding back there's nothing that has to set into place, but when you are closing it it has to seat back down and it probably stops just to make sure it sits firmly. Might be total BS but I dunno why anyone would want it half shut intentionally, its really loud

ya i agree its really loud, plus its a pain when ur driving and trying to shut it and it stops halfway then u gotta reclick the button, wonder if thres anything to do to get rid of the stop point, any blarg mods for this one

i think it is there so idiots cant close the roof with there head there they told me it has to do with safty, if there is a way around it i would love to hear it
