Boost on left?
This is a discussion on what kind of boost guage are you using? within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; WR^2X we are! Boost on left?...

Boost on left?
An escalator can never break. It can only become stairs. You would never see an ‘Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order’ sign, just ‘Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.’ - Mitch Hedberg
Boost is on the right (closer to the radio), and EGT is on the left. I figured I needed to pay more attention to boost, and I'll notice a warning sooner if it's on the right.
looks like part of ur rev and speedo is out? near the top.Originally Posted by amukaoen
and what does EGT mean btw?
GReddy 52mm boost, oil temp and egt in center console pod.
04 Cayenne Red XT....b1tch.
Cobb Stage 2 Protune on the way....
bling free since 1975
EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature. Two things...Originally Posted by STi300

2) It looks like the problem is that someone installed a version of the Autometer cluster bezel pod (or knockoff) that did not fit well (or they didn't install it well) and it's covering the top of the tach and top right of the speedo.
pretty sure thats the steering wheel manOriginally Posted by STi300

45mm Omori Boost in the stock Subie gage pod for me. EGT, Oil Temp and Oil Press as well.

sorry not the best pic.. my hand was shaking a little bit (its cold outside)
they call STi's STDs because everyone is getting them.
Im using a ghetto AC autotecnic p.o.s., it works somewhat well, but won't even light up. I'd suggest Defis, Omoris, Apexis, Greddys, or Autometer (slightly cheaper). Most of the japanese ones aren't in psi though.
My poor tranny!... someone sell me an aspen white 06 sti.
cool.Originally Posted by C Stoyer
how is the stock guage mounted? is there some kind of clip already on the stock instrument panel where you mount a stock pod or something? i havent seen a stock guage on a wrx yet... so im not exactly sure hows its mounted.
Here are the components to the factory Lamco gage. http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/s...BoostGauge.jpg You can see the clip for mounting the gage are in the upper right of the picture. Subaru supplies a template for drilling two holes in your steering column trim piece to attach the pod.
