Changing shift knobs

I'm thinking of switching the standard anatomic knob for the momo race airleather that Subaru offers. I really like the feel of the one on my knew wrx, but the stitching is rubbing on my palm.I shift with my hand grabbing the knob from behind. I don't put my hand on the top of the shift knob. I do not race, so speed shifting is not a factor.Anybody have any experience changing to a round from the standard wrx knob?

just unscrew the old one and put the new one on.
Momo has this weird mechanism of tighting the knob with 3 little screws but it works.
I put mine new one all the way down so the shifter is a bit shorter but at least i don't have an issue with the boot not staying high enough because it sits over the shifter ring, flange type of thingie.
