sti and harness bar

hi i want to get harnesses for my car before i get new seats. because harnesses are so unsafe with out a harness bar i want to get the sparco harness bar. knowing by back seats are have minimal room already, will the harness bar totaly kill by back seats? and if there will still be enough room, which it seems as there would be would it be safe for the passengers in the back seat? i plan to get bride, cobra, or, chargespeed fixed possition seats if any one has any other seat suggestions with a fixed position i would love the input.

i know some one who races has a harness bar in their STI could i get alittle input?

Here is my input for what its worth...

The harness bar will allow passengers to get in the back seat but its a big pain and it would be a big mess if you were ever in an accident.I would never personally put anyone in the back seat with one installed. I also would not recomend a harness bar without a roll bar/cage, unless you are only using the harness's in an autocross where chances of a rollover are extremely slim. Without a rollbar if you do have an accident and the roof comes down your head has now become the rollbar.

thanks for the input,
i have heard that the seat belts will restrain the back seat passengers from slamming into the harness bar.
but any one else have any ideas

It sounds like you have your mind made up but what you heard about belts in the back seat is wrong. They are not going to keep the passengers from hitting the bar. Hopefully someone will have some pictures so you can see.
