    Omori electronic boost problem

I hooked up my omori 52mm boost gauge when I first recieved it about a month ago, and have yet to get it to read anything. I tapped into the vaccum hose at the downward pointing brass nozzle coming off of the intake manifold. The gauge illumination is all tapped and working great, I just cant get it to read anything. Thaison from J-spec sent me a replacment sending unit, hooked that up, same thing, no movement of the needle. I am running out of ideas here, anyone have an idea of what could be wrong, other than the gauge is just dead?

Not sure if this helps or not, but most people tap off the vacuum line at the bov..( between the manifold and valve)

Apparently you are NOT supposed to tap the gauge power and illumination at the dash gauge cluster because it is a reversed polarity or something?? This could be my problem...I am going to pull it all out and recconnect it at the clock this evening to see if it works.
