what is the steering wheel hub adapter for and why do you need to buy it when u buy an aftermarket momo steering wheel? and one more thing.... can you install a steering wheel with out it?

Hehehe...well if you didn't have it, how to you reckon you'd bolt the steering to the column?
On production cars, the steeringwheel incorporates it's own hub adaptor. So when replacing you need the adaptor to attach the column to the bolt face of the steering wheel.
On many racecars, one welds a bolt face to the column and the steering goes directly on. Some hub adaptors are two piece so that the wheel can be taken off.
To put it simply, almost every steering column is different. It's easier for Momo to make all their wheels with the same center hole pattern and then make 200 hub adapters than it is to make every different style of wheel in 200 different flavors to match every possible steering column.
so... you have to have one to install a wheel? so they make spacific hub adapters to specific cars?
