    USDM STi Shift knob question

I just got my hands on a USDM STi 6sp shift knob and it fit my car well except for the rubber cap on the top with th 6sp pattern on it. So what I did, was I took the cap and an old black t-shirt. I cut a generous patch of shirt material and covered the plug and jammed it back into the shifter. To be honest, it came out pretty awesome, it matches the 02-03 interior perfectly. I will get pictures as soon as possible. ANYWAYS, my question is: are there other 5sp caps that will fit in this knob?

Hey, I took pics of my "custom" shift knob.

let me know what you think.

In pictures, the fabric matches the black on the bolsters. In person, the fabric matches the dark blue in the centers of the seats. It's pretty cool and almost feels like alcantara.

Doesn't look bad, but I would try to find the cap somewhere.

You could most likely make a shift pattern cap using this method.
