Does anyone know anything about OHMS... like if i had a sub which operates at either 2 or 8 ohms and a amp that operates at 1, 2 and 4 ohms.. does that mean i will be running a 2 ohm setup?

okay tell me what you have exactly and i'll see what i can do to help you .. if not check out cardomain or sound domainc or whatever and they have some guides on their site that can help you out with setting up your system.. just remmeber the lower the ohm.. the HARDER you will push the subs with the same amount of watts going to it but at the same time your amp will run a LOT HOTTER

For the best efficiency you need to match the impedence of your amplifier to your speaker. So for your case you'd wire your sub to be 2 ohms, and set your amp for two ohms because there are no other choices that match up.

I'm assuming from your question you have a dual voice coil sub with 4 ohms impedence per coil. That means you'd wire the coils in parallel to get 2 ohms (1/(1/4+1/4)) and for that there should be pictorial directions with your sub.
