    yea band pass and ported are made to carry and seald boxs are made to hit HARD. I will admit a seald box will beat. But it just depends on what you want. I dono about the trunk open thing.

    I agree with the hit from ported or sealed boxes. I had one bandpass and it was for show. Yea JL makes kick ass stuff but i usaly go with crossfire

    Not sure what Crossfire is. I havent been in that game for a few years now, and am no longer familiar with it.
    Hey, if you like rap, you might be happy with a band pass, but I tell ya, if you listen to any other type of music, its not the way to go.

    I just got an 04 WRX STI yesterday, i have a nice Pioneer MP-840 Premiere deck, was wondering how many, if any of you, have gone to the trouble of putting in a 4channel amp for the speakers... Also, What has worked best for speakers, to help dround out the noise of the road ? Anyone here dynimated there STI's ?

    I just baught some of thoes today actualy, i got 60.7 series kappa's for the front, and 4" two ways for the back ( could care less, i dont ride *****), i got a 4 way hifonic amp, Zeuce 4400 or somthing, ( it was cheap, i get car audio at cost, so like 120.00 for amp, 140.00 for fronts, 50.00 for rears) and a**** load of wires, im planing on doing it all on wed... ill let you know how it sounds...


    Did you buy any custom inserts when installing ? Some companys make some that are spos to make it REAL easy to put them on the doors..

    Let me know how the install went, how hard it was, and any advice on thoes speakers would be great.

    i had them fitted @ best buy. but they had no problems with them they are very shallow speakers so should not be a big deal fitting them in !

    i just installed my system yesterday. i would recommend you to not install 6x9 get some components you will get better quality (not as laud as a 6x9 tho.).

    i got some kenwood components on front and some eXcelon on the rear dors; my nex step is to get one kicker L7 and and respective amplifiers (and one for the rear and front speakers).
