Any Head Units with Aux input on Face?

Just wondering if there any manufacturers who have done this yet (i.e. for Ipod, MP-3 connections, etc.)? I know Pioneer and Alpine make the iPod adaptor but are there any units where you can just plug in your iPod to the front/face like you would headphones to a home stereo? If not, why hasn't this been done yet, to me it seems like such a simple concept?

Aiwa has had em in the past, might be able to pick up a cheap used one on ebay to fit your needs.

If you're just looking for a AUX in, JVC HU's will have that feature on their higher end units. It's a standard 3.5mm. jack. It'll take the audio, but not transfer anything else between them. i.e., you can't control the ipod from the HU.
