    Need new oem alarm remote...

Both my oem WRX alarm remote is not working right. I tried replacing new battery for it but still wouldn't help. Will I have to set the new remote to work with my factory alarm system? This one actually looks a bit better than the oem remote that came with my car.

Also, will these Sti key work with my WRX?

I suggest you take the car back to the dealership or to a garage.

I honestly do not think that your remote is the problem. If both don't work properly, it is likely that your mother module is a little screwy and has lost the codes for your remotes. If one is working and the other isn't...then it might be something wrong with one(say got wet).

In any case, you should try to get the codes reprogrammed in and/or see if you need a replacement module(the likely problematic area).

As for the key, yes, you simply have to get it cut...
