05 center console in an 02

I searched, and read about 20 posts but still didn't see anything....
does anyone know if a 2005 wrx center console will fit into a 2002 wrx?
i don't mean the area around the radio, just like around the shifter and armrest area... i want the different cupholders, considering i do a ton of highway driving, it would be nice to be able to fit an average size cup into the cupholder rather than using the horrible one on the dash above the radio.
basically i want to keep the 2002 dash and radio bezel area, but install a 2005 center console and armrest.
think it can be done?

I'm sure it can be done. They even put in a STi dash in an old Legacy or Impreza wagon so I guess anything is possible.
