Xm?

I got xm about 3 months ago and installed it where the ashtray is. I have been getting this really loud buzzing noise and i found out that this only happens when my headlights are on. WTF. anybody have any ideas what could be causeing this. I have the XM commander. It just sucks because i dont want to listen to i t at night because the buzzing is going to drive me insane. ThanX ahead of time.

It just sounds like you need to re-ground the unit. I don't know much about the Commander - how is it wired in? You're getting EMI from your electrical system when your lights are on, so switching either signal or ground wires can solve the problem. It works with other stereo components, at least.

I bought the XM in dash head unit. It matches up with the silver dash very well and I have no sound problems because my Alpine has XM already in it. No seperate boxes or converters.
