    New members, spam, etc.

In the past few weeks I have seen an increasing amount of spammers, stupid posts, and all around asshats (no names)

I think we should make the registering process a little more lengthy or something reduce these occurrances.... I see it as the only solution, unless anyone else has some ideas.

Maybe Tim can make it so that anyone who wants to post a link to a website has to have a certain amount of posts before they are able to do so.

    just my .02 cents.

I say new members can't post for like a week or something and are forced to peruse the forums first.

Just use the ban stick more, and close the treads faster.

There was one thread last week that ended up haveing like 50 "Wow this is stupid" posts.

Thanks for bringing this up. The moderators on ClubWRX.net are working hard to get rid of the "asshats" who are doing nothing to contribute to the site or even spamming the site. It's not an easy task becuase when people get banned they just go "OOPS~ I didn't know we can't do this and that." Becasue the majority of the members on the site are good people, we shouldn't make things more difficult for them because of the few "bad apples". From now on, if you guys see any of those posts just report it to the moderators, we will take care of those members for you guys as early as possible to make sure the site is running nice and smoothly.

OBP Impreza WRX STi Stage 2 @22psi. MasterTuned on 94 octane. PIA Dyno'd at 301 AWHP & 330 AWTQ only could boost at 19psi on the dyno so not sure what it would be at 22psi.

I'll look into it. I don't plan on implementing something where new members can't post right away though because we will lose a lot of valuable members if we were to do that.

Ditto on the new members not being able to post. kind of makes it a tad elitist.

We dont' intend on getting more moderators unless we really need to because moderators have to go though a lot of training. If you see a problem that needs to be solved right away and the moderator of that particular forum is unavailable, then go ahead and send the supermod a message. They have moderator powers in all the forums. You can find the list of current supermods on http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showgroups.php.

whats with the influx of know-it-all newbies?

we need a special forum that only pops up once you get over a certain number of posts kinda like you can't see the vs. world thread until you are a member.
