    New members and posting.

I was just noticing all the mis-placed threads and the titles to alot of threads not really specifing what the thread is really about. 90% of these threads are by members who are really new to the forums. My solution would be they cant post right away after they register. All they can do is read and search for maybe a week or so till they read all the stickies ect. Just a idea.

we've tried to do something like that though it doesnt seem possible. armin tried posting a reminder that there is a different forum other than everyday to post threads in but people just dont seem to get it. I dont think theres much we can do about it unfortunately.

I think these are mistakes that a minority of our members will make once, and after 1 reminder they will not make the same mistake again (unless they really dont' get it...) I cannot find a good solutoin to this problem, if anyone has any suggestions please speak up!

That's a good idea. I'll have links to "about us" page etc. when the receive their confirmation.

For those of you who haven't seen it, you can find it on http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/userguide.php.

I think it's ok for them to post n00b stuff in the n00b section. I don't mind answering the same questions all the time. I was also a n00b once and asked n00b questions, so I understand where they're coming from.

Besides, answering their questions with, DO A SEARCH N00B! tends to "scare" off some new users, and they could go to other forums because of it.
