ClubWRX.net Shop idea

This is coming from the new sticker design blog, but I think it would be really cool if we had a ClubWRX.net shop on the website.

I'm pretty sure we can pull it off, we just need some connections in the industry (ie shirts, stickers, hoodies, other merch)

Then as soon as stock has been taken and inventory is up, add the link to the search bar at the top of the website. Prices would be set so that there is still a good markup on the product without overpricing on MAP. Basically a hoodie costs eh, $10 to make, sell for $15. Take a loss on the hoodies for a gain on small, marginal products that sell well like stickers, keychains, whatnot. (Got this from the business strat the Corp I work for works on)

How will this all be funded? A number of ways.

1. Paypal donations
2. Sticker sales/etc
3. It's not a popular one but a fee for posting a classified
4. *shudder* fundraising! (High school all over again )

Anyone else think it would be a good idea/have any ideas of making some cash for merch? Post ideas here!

maby trainrex got some hook ups @ jscspeed, W1 or cobbs that could help us out w/ getting the shirts ect... ???

That's the store that we have right now w/o having to make mass purchases and store inventory. The last time we had a t-shirt sales we sold about 180 shirts through pre-orders, but that was way too much work and caused a lot of headaches on my end. This time around I'm going to try and see if we can get some of our advertisers to sponsor our t-shirts, and through that we can make a lot of t-shirts in larger quantities to offset the cost of production and I can even stock the shirts w/o having to worry too much about too much inventory. The tradeoff of this is that we'll have some ads on the back of the shirts but they're most likely going to be subie tuners or parts manufacturers that we all like anyways. I'll try to get that set up in the next couple of weeks. As far as other merchandises we will just use our cafepress store for the time being.

They're bought from Hanes though, meaning you don't have the best selection in color.
