yo we need a members rides section. i know we have a gallery, but that sucks. we need an actual section for members rides where we can show off recent photos we take or show off new parts on our cars and talk about what we did, and also get feedback on what we could do better.

yup agreed. i dont know if anyone is on wrxmodders.com but they have an AWESOME feature called "the garage" and you can upload your car.. all of your mods.. a photo gallery.. its really neat

That would be cool, not that I personally have anything done to my car worthy of noting, but I wouldn’t mind being able to look into some other rides for inspiration.

I think the problem with having a member's "rides" section where members can post pictures of their cars with new parts and/or what they did is that then, members would have a section to post pictures of their cars with new parts and/or what they did.

Besides, you can post pictures now anyway.

Over on the Porsche site I moderate we have pretty nice member garages. Here's one example.

There's the ability to add multiple cars, and also to have a guestbook for people to comment, plus a logbook which is basically a blog. There's also a place to post a story about the car.

We do have a dedicated "Member Car Gallery" thread in Exterior and Appearance. I don't know how having some sort of gallery would be that much better...

Alright guys give me a week or so and I"ll start looking into additional features like this. The reason why we have to carefully think over these features is because some people are just used to posting in the forums and would overlook added features such as our member gallery. On top of that, we end up having to direct people there to get enough contents or else it'll just look like a huge garage filled with only a few cars.

well the member car gallery is nice but you have to go through pages and pages and pages just to see the cars, and half the time people QUOTE the pictures so you see the same one over and over again.

I think its a good idea, but like Tim I think we are going to have to force people to use it. Too many "Hey I just bolted Brand X to my car" threads come and go. We would have to direct them to upload pics in the garage and then link them in their thread.

Also would this garage be all "attachments". If not there will be a lot of

well im just trying to say it's really frustrating to see a car and want to know say for example what springs they are running, but there is not a place to enter that info. where if we had a garage or something like that it would give people a place to show off their car, list mods, maybe how much those mods cost, how much horsepower they have, or any other info they might want to enter. i believe this would not only help out those people who are looking into getting into the WRX world but also those of us with WRX's that are trying to decide where they want to spend there money on the next mods on their car. just my opinion though, hope other people understand what i'm talking about.
