Yes.

Most people who run large sites make a decent amount of cash to (1) support the size of the forum and (2) personal income.

Some sites allow people to actually quit their day job.

My buddy (Doug) is one of the guys who owns (choice of car)tuners.com ie. wrxtuners.com and he makes some serious money off of it. It is their full time jobs. One of my close buddies is a mod on wrxtuners.com and it is his full time job. He gets paid great for it too. Doug owns a new Jeep SRT-8 and an amazingly quick Corvette.

vwvortex has its own offices, its pretty become a full on corporation, they even get to test cars b4 some magazines, amazing what a car forum with enough activitiy and people can turn into.

I do agree with the uncensored thing to a point. That particular forum should most definitely offer something out side the realm of what our standard forum offers, otherwise, whats the point? I just don't wanna get banned from work.

Annual memberships range anywhere from $20-$60 and there are hundreds of thousands of members on there. Not to mention the insane amount of advertising and paying distributors.
