noob section

This looks like a pretty decent site so far. I'm a noob to the WRX since I just got one but I've been doing mods and goin on forums for years so it's all pretty much familiar.

I'm hoping to find out what the best and smartest parts are for my 06.

The only thing I didn't like too much about the site was someone is already using my normal screen name.

Just throwin this out there for people who may not have tried it yet. Use the advanced search feature and search thread titles only. This really helped me as it filters out the threads where your topic of interest was just mentioned but not discussed. I bet many of the people who ask questions that have already thoroughly been covered really did search, but were just too lazy to sift through the multiple pages of non-helping threads that typically come up when one uses the basic search.

I really don't think it's right for you guys to flame this guy for giving a suggestion in the "improving CWRX" forum, and your doing exactly what he is suggesting we prevent. that isn't nice. no matter how much you believe your search button is superior.

sorry if my tone came off wrong i'm not trying to argue i'm just sharing my view.

i use the search button religiously, i just thought it wasn't very nice to flame on him in the correct thread with a suggestion and do to him exactly what he was suggesting to prevent.

that is all.

other than that let's make fun of noobs, i guess myself included huh

LOL don't make fun of noobs, we should embrce them and give them a *warm fuzzy* feeling.

Hehe seriously though, you guys should be nice to them. There are several kinds of noobs:

1. Don't know much about WRXs
2. Don't know how to use forums
3. Don't know both WRXs and don't know how to use forums
4. Those who are simply don't care to learn.

Every single one of us belonged one fo the first three categories at one time or another, so lets' just be a little nicer to everyone who is new to the scene. Unfortunately there are sometimes people who just don't care to learn about how to use the forum and would just come in and seek the technical informaiton they want, giving some of us the feeling that they're simply wasting our time. That's totally understandable, but at the same time some of us automatically assume that all the noobs belong in the 4th category and act negatively towards them. This is not the environment that ClubWRX should be so please, be nice
