This is a discussion on seen from another forum: "quiz" for registering users within the Improving ClubWRX.net forums, part of the News and Announcements category; I just saw this on another forum and I think it's a great idea. What does everyone else think? http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index...ction=register...

    Funny but a bad idea.

We shouldn't discriminate against any enthusiasts. Even if this means letting in a few idiots (aka members who start "SRT-4 Rules" threads). These members eventually get banned anyway.

But people come here to learn and have fun. You shouldn't have to be pre-knowledgeable about Subaru's or forums to be here.......it's a learning experience in itself!

Perhaps, the questions don't need to be technically oriented though, really just asking questions about proper etiquette perhaps... or anything really.

It would get rid of spammers also.

I also think we should ban people who start SRT-4 sux threads. Neither one is interesting.

I think its a good idea. It could have really basic questions that could be found by doing a little reading on the site such as "Is it good to put a BOV or CAI on a WRX?". A quiz would just keep people out until they lurked for a while and really got an idea of what the sites about. I think alot of people just see clubwrx and click join without knowing anything about the site and then ask questions that have been covered 300 million times.

this sounds like a good idea, but you have to consider that we all started somewhere. even the most knowledgeable members, at one time knew nothing.
