I also disagree.
We used to have to actually enforce the signature rule of <6 lines quite regularily, but I haven't noticed long sings as much lately. The idea behind it is to keep the clutter to a minimum, most people seem to get used to it.

1.) don't have HUGE sigs.
2.) don't have pictures in them.

I almost had a siezure trying to read those GI posts on the Mazda forums because of all the annoying pics in the sig area. It makes the forum look cheap and cluttered. We don't need that here.

another one for no. it was getting out of hand with the mod list in the sig. there is no ned to have 10+ pages for a simple thread becuase of all the room it takes up. pictures will do the same thing.

Im going to have to AGREE with MagikMan. Having a banner in your signature is just another way for people to recognize who is posting. It also allows people to show off there cars. A 180x180 avatar is too small to really see what someones car looks like.
I do however, think that a 5 line max in signatures is appropriate. There is no need to post every mod you have. This is a major issue on ClubRSX where i used to post frequently. Frankly, i dont care about someone's Mugen Oil Cap or there Stoneguard rock blocker.
A simple 300x150 max image in each signature would not be horrible. Also, if you find it to be distracting then you can turn that function OFF in your user cp.
Here is my complete signature on ClubRSX. Is this so much worse than what we have here?
