how much would we have to raise to move this forum to a faster server? if this is my new home im willing to help raise enough money in donations (at mazda forums we have like automatic payment option...like i donated 5 bucks a month to the forum for several years) because this is one of the slower forums sometimes i admit it flies, but especially when searching its slow...

it took me 5 minutes to submit an edit for a post.

anyhow, love this place, everyone is pretty friendly, just think we should switch to a diff server if possible.

You seem to really be into the idea of changing this place. I don't have a problem with the server speed; most of the time it's fairly responsive.

i had a 1990 jetta gli (the last cool vw made in my opinion) before i reverted back to subaru and so for a while i was on the vwvortex forums. so i really dont have a problem with the speed of this server. it seemed vortex was down for a few hours every night and it took a couple hours to search for anything just because youd have to wait five minutes for each page to load up.

HOWEVER, i am also in the same boat in that this is my new home too and who doesnt want to better their home? if they hook up a donation program i am definitely planning on contributing and i feel safe to say that the tons of people that love their imprezas also love their forums.

i give a big nod to this idea just as support for the forum.

there are a few things that could be changed. my favorite restaurant in a chinese joint, doesnt mean i wish it had peking fried chicken on the menu. doesnt mean i dont like the place, or its owners, or chefs, etc.

Hrmmm I'll look into it. I don't think it takes the rest of us that long to post a new thread. We had recently changed to a new server not too long ago, I'm guessing it's all the graphics on the site that is slowing us down?

no problems here. i think it is moving fine . ya just cant post w hore fast thats all
