    Damn I hate

    ....Valvoline Oil Change Places.

Long story short I trusted them to change my oil and they left the damn plug finger tight. This resulted in about a quart of oil leaking onto my garage foor and oil covering the bottom of my car.

I now see the light and will do all oil changes myself from here on out. Is it pretty easy on the WRX? I know on my old eclipse it was a pain because the front air dam wouldn't clear the ramps....any suggestions out there?

<---hanging head in shame for going to a quick lube place.

Trivial on bugeyes, more of a pain on Hyundai-eyes cars because of the plastic in the way, but no big deal either way. Don't let a quickie place ruin your motor, do it yourself.

You can simply jack the Eclipse up from the side and change the oil and filter WITHOUT getting under it, or you can use the central jack hard point under the motor and use jack stands on the side hard points (assuming you still have that car too; I've had both a bugeye Impreza and a DSM so I know).
