Not sure about the gears, but Europe (I think Oz as well??) got an even more "neutered" version with 20 hp less IIRC due to even more restrictive emmisions. So I guess they gave the entire world the neutered version. They did get 4 pots up front over there. 'Cause most Americans don't care about brakes.

They gave Tommi Makkinen and Peter Solberg 4 doors too so don't feel bad - you're in good company!

I agree,,and SUBARU is not responsible for the Mods.
I have a WRX,,want to tune it,,but i know as soon as i tune it i will not have a warranty more.
I live in Brazil and have a WRX Wagon listed at 228HP..
My car stock have Sunroof(Oh yes a stock Sunroof),,catless uppipe,4 pot brakes, better seats, better steering wheel,17" stock wheels,(you NA have better Radio(double dash),seat heater ,,cruise controller..)
And i think i have a Catless uppipe..
Anyway i will buy a Scooby SPort uppipe from a friend here and i will check out if i had a cat in the uppipe or not.
As i will do the turbo-back Scooby sport complete i think its just better to put the uppipe in too.

I compare us to the aussie gears. Bah, the car could be so much better and still pass emissions.

I have one small complaint now that it is cold... the defroster doesn't do jack! When it's -5F and I need to get to work, I can't wait around for an hour while the defroster wheezes out a piddle of air that's slightly less chilled than Jack Frost's rear end... :/

<---- my cat doing a hawkeye impersonation!
