OK I have been laboriously reading all previous posts on synthetic oils and I have come to a few conclusions.
-you should switch to synthetic between 1,000-15,000 miles
-You should change your sythetic oil every 2,000 - 7,500 miles
Not that these are vague, and I really don't want to start a ugly war like I have seen on other posts but I am still in the learning phase of high performance automobiles and I have one childlike question....... Why?
All that I can gather from the other posts is that synthetic is good. What actual benifits do I gain by switching to synthetic? Will my car last longer, go faster, better gas mileage, will I have to change the oil less? Any info that you guys can toss me would be much appreciated. Thanks

Better flow characteristics, stronger film strength, less prone to break down due to shearing.......
