Taking 950 mile road trip to college

SO Wednesday I'll be heading to college, driving of course. I'm just wondering if there is anything I need to remember to do before, after, during the trip? I just got my oil changed about 500 miles ago, but that's pretty much the only service I've done to the car since purchasing it 4 months ago. BTW, it's an 03 with 16, 000 some miles on it.

You'd probably be OK even if you don't do anything special but I would double check tire pressures and fluid levels. At 16k your wiper blades might be marginal. When I go on long trips I take a small air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Clean all the windows on the inside. Truth is, you won't be able to fix anything if it breaks so bring a phone and a credit card.

Better stop a few times because in these seats your lower back will be talking to you after about 3 hours.

About the only time I enjoyed my "couch on wheels" seats in the tbird.
