normal occurance or am i paranoid?

for some reason my car heats up a whole lot faster than it used to. it takes just barely a few minutes compared to the normal 10. when i used to stop at lights i could see the heat coming from the scoop, but no longer. i can touch the intercooler after a long drive and very cool to the touch. is this normal or is something up?
