No drain plug crush washer from factory? ...

    Howdy,

I performed the first oil change on the WRX over the weekend. There was no crush washer on the drain plug. It did not seem to have leaked. I did add a washer while I had it out. Anyone else notice this on their first change?

Are you sure that it didn't stick to the underside of the plug?

Yes, I did check the plug & oil pan. No washer. My last two cars (Honda, Mazda) the washers would sometimes get stuck on the plug. The Subie service department was kind enough to give me three freebies my last visit there. They also take the waste oil I bring for disposal.
