    I have a 2002 WRX and am trying to figure out where to find the engine number. Anyone know?

    Does anyone know the meanings of each digit in the VIN?

    Here is how to decode the VIN http://www.oakos.com/wrx/vin.htm

    The engine code for the WRX is EJ205

    Thanks! Now I just need to find my engine number!

    It is in reference to:

    " ** 2002 WRX vehicles with an engine number of #331738 and after can also reuse the OE flywheel and cover if it is in good condition and has more then 30,000 miles on it. Vehicles
    produced prior to E/G #331738 will need to install all 4 parts. "

    I didn't realize you wanted to know the engine serial number too. It's stamped in the block under the intercooler.
