WRX Oil Filter Part #'s
i've only heard of the 060 not the 080. although the different size would bother me.
i'd still guess the filter is the wrong one. anyone heard of this?

Just picked up my oil filter from dealer and knew it was different immediately. Now black instead of white and shorter in length and smaller OD. Can someone verify that part#15208aa060 is now#15208aa080. This is for an 02WRX and was told that all Subie turbo's use same filter.
It is smaller enough that I am a little concerned. I just changed the oil and no leaks yet. But want to make sure.
Thanks

Doh! There is a thread on this(sticky). It's cool. 060 is now for NA and 080 is for Turbos. Different manufactuer or something. No biggie.
Yeah, no biggie - it's pretty common for the filter to change - Subaru's prolly just getting a better deal from someone else these days.

But they shaft us(Subaru). I paid $9 rather than the usual $5 and change.![]()
